That's going to cost me or I don't have the money right now or why should I have to pay with no help from my deadbeat relatives? Wrong attitude. If you can afford to, do it and save all receipts. You can submit your invoices to the Estate for reimbursement. Consult the Estate attorney for the proper procedure and clarity. Not doing this--paying to clear and clean up the home is just what bargain hunter want you to do. The worse the home and lot appear the lower their price will be. Remember, your job is to get more for the Estate. This is your job, especially if there are multiple heirs and beneficiaries. Do the right thing for the Estate and good luck.

These days, everyone is promising a quick sale and fast money. Well, I'm here to tell you. Quick is going to cost you. Investors have ready cash and can close in 15 days or even sooner. So, guess what? You fall for it. Money in hand and no waiting you say. Why not wait another two weeks with a standard, hard-working, regular buyer and get your full price.
It might not mean that much to you. After all, you did not work 20, 30 years to pay off a mortgage. You just want the cash. Well, it's your inheritance. Don't you deserve all of it? Won't it make you mad when these investors buy your folks' home for 60 cents on the dollar, fix it up and sell it again for thousands more. Before I end this sentence, let me remind you: "Good things come to those who wait." If you have the time and patience, you can probate your family estate yourself. If you don't, hire a probate or Family Law attorney. The first step is securing the home. Get insurance on it. Either you or your attorney should get the Court to set a date to hear your Petition as soon as possible. This will start the ball rolling.
